摘　　要：素质教育是以提高全民族的整体素质为宗旨的教育,图书馆与素质教育存在着相互依存、相互促进的辩证统一关系。图书馆在素质教育中是思想育人的重要阵地,是获取知识的神圣殿堂,是进行科学文化素养教育的重要场所,是进行素质教育的基地,是环境育人的最佳场所。Quality education is one that aims to improve the overall quality of the whole nation. There exists a relation of mutual dependence and mutual promotion between the library and the quality education. The library is an important front where ideological education can be carried out. It is a sacred place for obtaining knowledge and a place for the education of scientific and cultural accomplishment, the base for quality education and the best environment for educating people.
