摘　　要：　现代远程教育是网络时代教育发展的一种新型教学模式。阐述了现代远程教育的内涵及其时代的创新性、学习的探究性、学习的独立性和自主性、教学方法的灵活多变性等特征,分析了高校图书馆在现代远程教育中的重要作用和独特优势,探讨了现代远程教育与高校图书馆互为依存的关系。Modern distance education is a new type education pattern that is the inevitable result of the development of the education during the times of Internet. It is presented in this paper that a detailed explanation to the connotations and the features of modern distance education, as well as the unique advantages and important role of college library during implementing modern distance education. It is also presented in this paper that the mutually conditional relationship between college library and modern distance education.
