摘　　要：从发展背景、服务方式、理论成果、服务系统等 4个方面概括了美国图书馆数字参考服务的发展概况 ;分析总结了美国图书馆数字参考服务的 7个特点 ,如以人为本、服务至上 ;技术先行、追求便捷 ;合作共建、资源共享等。This paper describes the development status of digital reference in American libraries from 4 aspects,that is ,background,service model,theoretical achievement and service system.It also analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of digital reference in American libraries from 7 aspects such as focusing on client's need and putting service above all,technologies paving the way and pursuing convenience,joint construction and sharing,etc.
