摘  要:在学术界,好莱坞先验地成为了商业电影的代表,却无人去研究它为什么会成为商业电影。本文要探讨的是,好莱坞商业机制得以形成的文化/社会基础是什么。本文的观点是:美国文化中的实用主义传统,好莱坞与文化中心的疏离,好莱坞在打造民族认同中的核心作用是好莱坞商业机制得以形成的文化基础;美国城市人口的众多、语言/制度的统一、“孤立主义”的政治策略、多元化的民族结构是好莱坞商业机制得以形成的社会基础。In academic fields,Hollywood presumably has become the commercial film representative.However,nobody really ponders for a while why it is the representative of commercial films instead of art films like that in Europe?Or why has it not become the representative of political films like that in China?This article focuses on the cultural and social foundations ,upon which the Hollywood commercial system is built.It is the point view of this essay that it results from the history of a practical American culture,Hollywood’s alienation from the cultural center,as well as the key role it plays in cultivating a national recognition,which gives rise to the cultural foundation that shaped the Hollywood commercial system.While the heavy American urban population,the unified language and system,the political strategy of isolation,as well as its multi-cultural national structure help to have formed a social foundation,upon which the Hollywood Commercial system is built.
