摘　　要：在意大利文学和文艺复兴思潮的影响下 ,乔叟对自己的创作、对英诗的发展和文学的本质都进行了广泛而深入的思考和探索。他这时期的重要著作《声誉之宫》就是其探索的艺术体现。在诗里 ,作者既揭示了文学作品的虚构性质 ,也强调现实生活是文学创作的基础 ,并在英国文学史上第一次艺术地表现了现实主义的创作观。他还将生动的口语运用于诗歌创作并尝试内容与语言风格之间的有机统一 。In the mid 1370s, Chaucer was undergoing profound changes in his poetic career. Under the influence of Italian literature and Italian Renaissance, he experimented with his poetry, explored the nature of literature, and reflected on the development of English poetry. His major poetic work of this period, The House of Fame , is an artistic exploration in these aspects. In this poem, while revealing the fictional nature of a literary work, he grounds literary creation on life and, for the first time in English literary history, expresses realist beliefs. Another important contribution of this poem to English poetry is his use of colloquial English and the integration of style and content.
