摘　　要：本文从理论和研究方法两方面对国外语言测试在过去 1 0年里的主要发展作了简单的回顾与分析。在理论方面 ,语言测试的发展主要体现在交际语言测试、信度和效度、语言测试的社会作用、影响考生发挥的因素、做事测试、计算机化测试、与二语习得的关系等方面 ,而语言测试研究方法的发展则主要有准则参照测量、概化理论、项目反应理论、结构平衡模式以及定性研究等。In the past decade, language testing research and practice abroad have witnessed the development of a rich variety of theories and approaches. This article reviews briefly the major developments of language testing research and practice in the 1990s in terms of theories and research approaches. In theory, the developments focus on communicative language testing, test validation, social functions of language testing, factors affecting test performance, performance test, computerized language test, and interfaces with SLA; while the research approaches mainly include such quantitative approaches as criterion referenced measurement, generalizability theory, item response theory, structural equation modeling, and the qualitative research approach.
