试论西魏北周时期的赐、复胡姓  

On the Movements of Granting and Restoring the Hus' Surnames in the Period of the Western Wei and Northern Zhou Dynasties

摘　　要：北魏末年即已出现恢复胡姓的社会现象 ,宇文泰主政期间 ,推行了赐、复胡姓的运动 ,并使之在一段时期内形成一股潮流。本文依据正史 ,列举西魏北周时期赐、复胡姓的情况 ,并从籍贯、赐姓时间、事由等方面对之进行了逐项考察 ;认为宇文泰赐、复胡姓的目的主要是推进府兵制的实行 ,而赐、复胡姓的中止也不应当是出于宇文泰的所谓“遗旨”。The social phenomenon of restoring the Hus' surnames already appeared in the last year of the Northern Wei Dynasty, during the period when Yuwen Tai was in power a movement of granting and restoring the Hus' surnames was carried out and became a trend in a period. According to the relevant official historical records, this article represents an account of some facts about granting and restoring the Hus' surnames during the period of the Western Wei and Northern Zhou Dynasties, makes item-by-item studies of these facts in aspects of the native places, the time, reasons, etc. in granting the surnames, and holds that Yuwen Tai's purpose in granting and restoring Hus' surnames was to promote the carrying out of Fubingzhi——a military system with clans as the army's units at the grass-roots level. Therefore, stopping granting and restoring Hus' surnames should not be regarded as the consequence of the so-called “dying orders' of Yuwen Tai.
