摘　　要：The paper outlines what has been achieved during the last 20 odd years in the studies on teaching listening in Chinese as a second language in China and what problems are confronting the TCSL circle. The author emphatically points out that, to raise the standards of studies, we must start from increasing awareness of absorbing the existing achievements in future studies and teaching.
