摘　　要：Any historian must read and understand history(including historical texts)before he can narrate and explain history.Following the logic of historical narrative,this article expounds the identities and differences between historical understanding and historical explanation.It argues that understanding history is to construct history. that the purpose of explaining history is to strive for the right of interpreting social reality,and that the objectivity of historical explanation can be obtained only through intersubjectivity.Any historian must read and understand history(including historical texts)before he can narrate and explain history.Following the logic of historical narrative,this article expounds the identities and differences between historical understanding and historical explanation.It argues that understanding history is to construct history. that the purpose of explaining history is to strive for the right of interpreting social reality,and that the objectivity of historical explanation can be obtained only through intersubjectivity.
