摘　　要：笔者广泛搜集了分散于海峡两岸的有关文献和中外报刊,弄清史料来源,研究原始记载,吸取了海峡两岸学者和相关学科的研究成果,对台湾地震历史资料,进行大力发掘,稻匡了地震时间、震中错置、一震多记及记载含混等问题,取得了翔实的资料,经认真研究,在前人工作基础上,编辑了《台湾省地震历史资料汇编》。Having pieced together scraps of earthquake information which is scattered in literatures, books and newspapers in the areas on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and related it to historical earthquakes, the authors have checked the original records and absorded the results by previous authors. Furthermore the authors have deliberated the historical earthquake data in Taiwan and corrected the faults in the data about the event times, earthquake locations, repeat records to one event and the ambiguous earthquake notes etc.. Based on the previous work and relibale data, the author have compiled the book, Campilation of Historical Earthquake Data in Taiwan Province.
