摘　　要：论述了要摆脱图书馆目前的困境,发展图书馆事业,必须扩大图书馆的内涵。认为扩大图书馆内涵的基础、决定性条件和目的分别应该是扩大图书馆的经费来源、提高图书馆人员的素质和满足社会需求。文章还就怎样扩大图书馆的经费来源,提高图书馆人员的素质,满足社会需求作了较全面的论述。If we want to get rid of the recent difficult condition of the libraries and develop the librarical undertakings,we must expand the librarical intension. The author thinks the foundation,decisive condition and aim of expanding the librarcal intension should be the expanding of the sources of library funds,the enhancing of the librarians qualities and meeting the demands of the society. The paper also discusses how to expand the source of library funds,how to enhance the quality of the librarians and how to mwwt the demands of the societies.
