摘 要:作为一个重要的外语学习策略之一 ,阅读长期以来一直是外语教学探索中的重点和核心 ,探讨阅读理解的理论模式以及阅读策略和技巧是外语学界所关注的焦点。本文通过评介 Michael Hoey语义单位关系理论 ,主要论证了这种理论对外语阅读教学在实践操作上的实用性和在理论研究方法上的指导性。这种理论是基于语篇的微观分析基础上对语义进行纵横的宏观统领 ,视语篇为不同语义单位组成的语义网络。因此 ,Hoey的语义单位关系理论为外语教学中研究提高阅读技能、完善外语阅读教学提供了一个崭新的视角。As reading is one of the important skills which language learners are supposed to acquire, the research on reading skills and techniques has been the focus of FL(foreign language) teaching in recent years. The clause relation theory of Michael Hoey, based on both micro and macro analysis of a discourse, views the meaning as a whole and indicates that the different layers of meaning are correlative to one another. Therefore by introducing the clause relation theory, this paper aims to illustrate the practicality and feasibility of this theory if applied to FL teaching of reading. It is proposed that it be of great use and help for FL teachers to experiment this theory on their teaching of reading and writing.
