摘　　要：本文以《水浒传》作为例证 ,论述中国古代通俗小说版本研究中“一书各本”的现象、文本“原貌”的追寻、不同版本的价值等问题。本文认为 ,一书的不同版本系统之间具有显著的、甚至巨大的差异 ,这是中国古代通俗小说的特点 ,也是中国古代通俗小说版本研究的难点。因此 ,中国古代通俗小说版本研究的主要任务不是恢复一书问世之初的文本“原貌” ,而是致力于恢复一书的不同版本或不同版本系统的文本“原貌”。从历史研究的角度来看 ,中国古代通俗小说不同版本或版本系统对正文文字内容的不同处理 ,不仅有其各自的合理性 ,而且也有其各自的价值。The text expounds the phenomena of “one book with various editions” in the edition studies of the classic Chinese vernacular fiction by taking All Men Are Brothers for example It affirms that it is the peculiarity of the classic Chinese vernacular fiction that various editions of a book are evidently and even greatly different, which has made troubles to the edition studies of the classic Chinese vernacular fiction Therefore, the critical works of various editions do not aim at recovering the original version of the fiction, but recovering the original textual aspects of various editions or establishing the system of various editions, which are reasonable and valuable respectively from the historical viewpoints
