摘　　要：美国当代犹太作家索尔·贝娄一向以描写男性犹太知识分子而闻名。殊不知,在他塑造的男性世界中,我们也时常看到血肉丰满、性格鲜明的女性形象,但评论界对此重视不足,对她们的评论也有失公正。本文试图通过对贝娄小说中较有代表性的几位女性形象的分析、评论,说明贝娄笔下的女性形象与男性角色一样栩栩如生,令人难忘,以此弥补对索尔·贝娄研究的不足。Saul Bellow, a contemporary American Jewish novelist, has been well known as a great writer of Jewish male intellectuals. In the mancentered world he has created, however, we can also see many lifelike and characteristic female characters who have been overlooked or unfairly commented on by critics. By analyzing and commenting on a few typical female characters in Saul Bellow's novels, this paper attempts to prove that Bellow's female characters are almost as vivid and unforgettable as his male ones.
