摘 要:在戊戌维新和清末新政时期,随着民主化运动的发展,孔子和经学的地位逐步动摇。民国建立,道变统改,孔经随着帝制大厦的轰然倒塌而被剥夺了政治伦理的斑驳外衣。在民主共和方生,尊孔读经方死的过渡时代,袁世凯利用人们依恋孔子和经学的文化心理,复辟帝制,尊孔复古,从而激起了由反孔狂飙而卷动的五四新文化运动。Since the Constitutional Reform Movement of 1898, the Confucius Worshipping and Confucian-classics Reading had been charged by the new culture with dying feudalism. The Republic of China had taken a series of measure to stop Confucius worshipping and Confucian-classics reading. So Confucius and Confucianism lost their public and social justification. At the same time, Yuan Shi-kai made use of the people's attaching of orthodoxy Confucianism and tried to restore monarchy, which finally stirred up the strong anti-Confucian New Culture movement.
