摘　　要：澳大利亚书目网络(The AustralianBibliographic Network,简称 ABN)即澳大利亚国家图书馆自动化服务部,是为澳大利亚图书馆界和情报界提供支援的合作性服务部门。它向全国的图书情报部门提供大型的书目数据库,并为它们提供分享各自数据库的设备。通过它各图书馆在自愿的基础上实行资源共享。它的主要目标是,帮助各图书馆在发展和控制馆藏方面减少开支,发展全国文献的传输系统,促进资源的合作收藏和共享。ABN is a cooperative service sector for supporting Australian library and information circles.Itprovides a large—sized bibliographic database for the whole country and equipments for the sharingbranch databases.It's main aim is to help libraries reduce expense in expanding and con-trolingholdings,develop transfer systems of documents all over the country and promofe cooperativecollection and resource sharing.This article introduces the history of ABN,state bibliographicdatabase and policies,software and communication network,ABN s products and service items,itscharge standard and management,and so on.
