摘　　要：描写语言学派是 2 0世纪 3 0 - 5 0年代美国语言学研究的主流派 ,它以重视语言材料 ,注重语言结构的形式描写而著称 ,鲍阿斯、萨丕尔、布龙菲尔德、海里斯对美国语言学的发展 ,做出了重要贡献。由于条件和环境的限制 ,这一学派也存在着明显的缺陷。The descriptive linguistics school is a main linguistics school in America during the period from thirties to fifties of the twentieth century.It is known as linguistics school for its attaching importance to the description of linguistics materials and forms of linguistics structure.Franz Boas,Eward Sapir,L.Bloomfield and Z.S.Harris hnve contributed greatly to linguistics of America,but because of the limit of conditions and circumstance,the school also has its own evident defects.
