摘　　要：针对激光原理教材中非均匀加宽工作物质的烧孔效应,分析了烧孔宽度的由来,给出了详细推导过程.A detailed calculation about width of the burning hole in saturation behavior of inhomogeneously broadened laser medium is presented.The width of the burning hole is determined by the linewidth of homogeneous broadening because of the finite lifetime of the excited state due to spontaneous emission.
