摘　　要：本文简述了我国西北地区风沙尘暴灾害的概况，并着重对１９９３年５月５日该地区特大风沙尘暴的形成、发生与危害状况作了论述；同时，在分析了大量资料的基础上，提出了治理对策。The general situation of sand-storm in Northwestern China is expounded briefly here.Special emphasis is put on the formation, development and damage of the tremendous sand-storm occurred in the region on May 5,1993. Ways to predict and control sand-storm are raised through the analysis of numerous data.
