A Study of Foreign Students’ Chinese Phonological Awareness Development

摘  要:本文主要以听辨测试的作业方式,对两种不同汉语水平外国留学生的语音意识发展情况进行了考察,结果显示:1)留学生在声母、韵母、声调三方面的语音听辨意识发展模式基本一致,即声调意识优于韵母意识,韵母意识又优于声母意识;2)留学生在声母、韵母、声调意识的发展趋势以及各项语音意识内部的发展上都受到汉语本身特点的影响,但母语因素对留学生各项语音意识内部的发展有一定影响;3)留学生的语音意识水平在总体上随着学习时间的增长表现出了显著的进步,但在某些具体的语音上存在着发展迟滞现象.In this listening-based experiment, we studied the foreign students’ phonological awareness development at two different levels. The results have shown: 1) The development of phonological awareness in listening shows a basically similar model among foreign students, in which tone awareness develops better than final awareness, and final awareness than initial awareness. 2) The development of phonological awareness is influenced generally and specifically by the characteristics of the Chinese language, while the students' mother tongue plays a role in their specific phonological awareness development. 3) Students show significant improvement in phonological development with the increase of their learning years generally, but also show a standstill or slow development at learning some certain phonemes.
