摘　　要：传统上一般把知识分子看作社会的良心、文化意义的守护者、民众的启蒙者和精神导师,具有至高的话语权。但是,随着市场经济、大众教育和知识专业化分工的发展,知识分子的社会功能开始发生转向,逐渐从自由漂浮走向了落地生根;从普遍型走向了特殊型;从立法者走向了阐释者。这是社会发展的必然结果,知识分子自身应该在此基础上对自身的社会角色和功能有一个重新认识。Intellectuals have been seen as conscience of society, guard of the significance of culture, and enlightenment people and spirit tutor of the masses. They have supreme power of discourse. But intellectuals' role has come to change from free-floating to be rooted, from universal to specific, from legislators to interpreters with the development of market economy, popular education and professional division. This is an inevitable result of social development. Intellectuals need to rethink their role base on it.
