摘　　要：本文以设计写作任务的必要性开篇,认为外语写作教学的关键环节是大量的写作练习,而设计合理的写作任务则是进行有效的写作练习的保证,接着作者借鉴其他学者和专家的相关研究,结合教学实践,对写作任务应具备什么样的特征、写作任务有哪些类型和如何设计写作任务进行了探讨。This paper begins with an illustration of the importance of task design in teaching English writing at the college level and concludes that appropriate task design leads to effective writing practice. Based on the author's teaching practice and the research of other scholars, the paper elaborates on how to design writing tasks in terms of the qualities, types and sources of writing tasks.
