摘　　要：英语谚语语言优美,含义深刻,是英语语言的精华,深受英、美等世界许多其它国家人民的喜爱。在深入研究了大量英语谚语的基础上,通过一些典型的实例,详细阐述了英语谚语的艺术性、思想性和民族性。English proverbs are the essence in English language. They are of a graceful language, profound implication, which are very popular with English people, American people and many other people all over the world. Based on the research for plenty of English proverbs, this paper expounds their artistry, ideology and nationalism with some typical examples.
