摘 要:本文从认知语用的角度(即在关联理论的框架下)考察话语中的推理照应现象,主要探讨话语的连贯性、关联性以及话语标记语等对理解话语中这种隐含意义关系的制约功能。文章认为话语的连贯性受诸多因素(如人们的百科知识、语境、话语标记语等)的制约,而话语的关联性除了受制于这些因素之外,还取决于语境的选择和语境的作用以及话语理解所需付出的努力程度;并指出处理这些问题包含一个复杂的语用过程,妥当解决这些问题可以帮助人们更好地辨认和理解推理照应关系,推导出实际运作中的话语的含意,还可以帮助人们以事物之间的关系来更好地认知世界,达到成功交际的目的。This paper, based on Relevance Theory (RT), takes as its goal of research bridging reference (BR) in discourse interpretation. It explores, from a pragma-cognitive point of view (i. e. within the framework of RT), how coherence relations, relevance relations and discourse markers in discourse affect the interpretation of such an implied meaning relationship. Coherence relations in discourse are constrained by various factors such as one's encyclopedic knowledge, context, discourse markers, etc. Whereas relevance relations in discourse rely on the selection of context, contextual constraints on discourse, and the degree of processing effort required, apart from the constraints on the coherence relations in discourse. A proper treatment of these issues will not only enable one to correctly interpret BR and infer the implied meaning in discourse, but also help him to know better the different relationships between one thing and another, so as to achieve successful communication. It concludes that the complicated pragmatic process of interpreting BR in successful human communication can be considered as a way of getting to know the world (both physical and mental), or a paradigm derived from reflections upon a concrete method of approaching discourses.
