摘　　要：本文报道了一株产类胡萝卜素菌株分离鉴定的结果，根据该菌株的形态学特征、培养特征、细胞壁组分分析及血清学反应，该菌株应归为红球菌属的一个种（Ｒｈｏｄｏｃｏｃｃｕｓｓｐ．）。The result of isolation and identification of a producing carotenoid strain 6 # was reported.On the basis of its morphological and cultural characteristics, some chemotaxonomic (cell wallcomposition and whole cell sugar) and serological properties, the strain should be classified intoRhodococcus sp.
