摘　　要："新英语"语言变体在亚洲和世界其他地区的发展问题研究,引起了语言学界的强烈兴趣,本文拟在研究Kachru的世界英语理论的基础上,以印度英语、新加坡英语和其他一些典型实例,来研究和阐释处于多元文化语境中的新英语语言变体的特点,并考察其高级变体和低级变体的现象.The varieties of “New Englishes” in countries in Asia and other areas have triggered great interest in linguistic circle. Based on the study of Kachru＇s theory of World Englishes, this article makes a research on the features of the varieties of “New Englishes” in multicultural contexts such as in Singapore and India. It also explores the phenomenon of the high variety and low variety in the “New Englishes”.
