Purpose: To study the resistance of induced mice cirrhosis to liver metastasis from coloreetal cancer and its possible mechanisms. Methods: Developed a mouse model of liver eirrhosis and liver metastases from colorectal cancer, observed the incidence of liver metastasis in cirrhosis liver mice and normal liver mice; examined the expressinn of liminin (LN),fibronectin(FN) and E-selectin in livers hy immmohistochemistry(IH).Results: The incidence of liver melustasis in cirrhotic mice(4 of 16,25%)was significantly lower(P=0.001) than that in normal liver mice(14 of 16.87.5%).The expression of liminin, fibronectin in eirrhosis mice were significantly higher than that in normal liver mice inoculated with tumor, the expression of E-selectin in cirrhotie mice were signifieantly higher than that in normal liver mice inoculated with tumor.the expression of E-selectin in cirrhotic mice was signifieatly lower than that in normal liver mice imoculated with tumor. Conclusions: It was comfirmed that cirrhotic liver is resistant to the development of liver metastasis from colorectal cancer through animal experiments. There were eridence that liminin.fibronectin and E-selectin played important roles in the process.
