摘　　要：随着计算机和网络技术的不断发展,传统的纸质地图越来越不能满足人们的需要,电子地图作为一个新兴产品,已经倍受人们的青睐。该文首先比较全面的介绍了纸质地图和电子地图的现状和特点。其次比较深刻地论述了电子地图多方面的作用和发展,特别是由于以互联网作为传播媒介的数字地图所具有的特点,必将成为今后地图发展的主要方向。With the constant development of computers and network technology, traditional paper maps cannot meet the people＇s needs any more. As a new product, electronic maps are welcomed by more and more people nowadays. This paper introduces the present conditions and characteristics of paper maps and electronic maps . Secondly, it analyzes the functions and developing trend of electronic maps, especially as digital maps internet as its communicating medium , it will surely become the main developing trend that maps will Keywords maps; electronic maps ; present conditions; functions ; developing trend regard follow.
