摘　　要：Compared with other regions in the world such as Europe and North America,energy cooperation among East Asian countries is still in the initial stage of consultation,which means that the East Asian countries are not only faced with challenges but are also endowed with chances as well as possibilities in their cooperation.By focusing on the energy issue,this article analyzes the energy structure in East Asia and the reasons behind the delayed cooperation and explores the urgency,reality and possibility of energy cooperation in that area.Compared with other regions in the. world such as Europe and North Mnerica, energy cooperation among East Asian countries is still in the initial stage of consultation, which means that the East Asian countries are not only faced with challenges but are also endowed with chances as well as possibilities in their cooperation.
