摘　　要：通过对《围城》及其英译文中前指现象的比较分析,发现英语较多使用代词,起前指作用,而汉语则较多使用零词语,起前指作用;而进一步得出不能把英汉两种语言差异和文化差异的研究割裂开来的结论。This paper makes a comparative analysis on the anaphoric phenomenon of Fortress Besieged and its English version to show that pronouns are always used as anaphoric expressions in English while Zero-anaphors are used in Chinese. It is inappropriate to separate the language diversity from its cultural diversity. We should try to study language and culture in all-around fields.
