摘  要:汉语在美国被公认为是比较难学的外语之一,普及汉语教学的工作在美国面临着巨大的挑战。汉语教学的普及有待于中国在21世纪继续发展,变得更加文明、更加强大,但更需要从现在起就在美国的汉语教学实际中实行好“文化先导、分进合击、精讲多练、内外相连”的策略。In the United States, Chinese has been commonly viewed as one of the foreign languages that are difficult to learn. It is, therefore, challenging to popularize Chinese language learning and teaching there. The popularization of Chinese language learning and teaching may not really happen until China has become stronger and more civilized as a result of China's continuous development in the 21st Century. However, the article argues that it depends more on the immediate implementation of such strategies as taking Chinese culture as the lead, adopting the "proceeding separately and striking together" approach, providing incisive explanations and massive speaking activities in class, and coordinating learning and practicing activities in and after class and in and outside the U. S. A.
