摘　　要：人的自由而全面的发展是马克思主义的最高命题。它是马克思恩格斯毕生追求的最高理想和最终价值目标,贯穿于整个马克思主义思想体系和他们之后的各具体的马克思主义理论形态当中,体现了马克思主义的根本价值和基本精神。其科学内涵包括:人的智能素质的自由而全面发展、人的社会关系的自由而全面发展和人的个性的自由而全面发展。从最终价值的层面上讲,社会主义和共产主义的本质就是追求和实现一切人的自由而全面的发展;从评价标准的角度讲,它是共产党人衡量任何一种理论创新、实践活动以及工作得失的最终标准和价值尺度。准确把握马克思主义最高命题,对正确理解社会主义本质,认真落实“以人为本”的科学发展观有着重大的理论意义和实践价值。Man＇ s free and overall development is the supreme subject of Marxism. It was the supreme ideal and final value purpose sought by Marx and Engels all of their lives throughont the whole Marxist thought system and every real theoretical form after the two great men and embodies the essential value and fundamental spirit of Marxism. its scientific connotation encloses： the free and whole development of man＇ s wise quality, man＇s social relation and man＇s individual nature. As far as the level of final value is concerned, the essence of .socialism and communism is seeking and lealizing all man＇ s free and overall development. As far as the angle of evaluating standard is concerned, it is the final standard and value measure for which the communists judge any theoretic innovation, practical action and working gaining and losing. It has important theoretic significance and practical value for correctly understanding the socialist essence and seriously carrying out the scientific developing concept of ＇ taking man as the foundation＇ to exaetlv grasp the supreme subject of Marxism.
