摘　　要：本文根据公元１６９６年７月７日昆明地震的历史资料，在对地震遗迹─－昆明官渡穿心塔，妙湛寺及所处地震地质环境实地考察的基础上，认为这次地震的震中烈度为Ⅶ度，震级为５级，震中在昆明近郊官渡附近。On the basis of historical data of the Kunming earthquake occurred on June 7,1696 and on the spot investigation on seismic traces at Chuanxin tower and Miaozhen temple,Guandu, Kunming and their seismogeological envirnoment,the authors believe the epicentral intensity of this event was VII degree and the magnitude,M 5 ,and the epicentre lain near Guandu in the suburbs of kunming.
