现象翻译和实在翻译——兼论翻译研究的若干新方向

摘　　要：本文区分作为翻译行为的现象翻译和作为理论概念的实在翻译,并区分翻译研究中的实践理性和纯粹理性两个概念。作者高度评价中国人的翻译成就和实践理性,并认为翻译研究的学理应建立在对纯粹理性的追求之中,在此基础上设想翻译研究的若干新方向。The paper differentiates between two broad categories of translation, the phenomenal translation, as pertains to the act of translating, and the real translation, as a theoretical concept. On the basis of this dichotomy, it further transfers to translation studies the philosophical opposition between the practical and the pure reason. While much has been achieved in the practice of phenomenal translation by Chinese translators in pursuit of the practical reason, the paper suggests that greater importance be attached to the pure reason as the guiding principle for China＇ s translation studies. The reorientation would make it possible for us to explore new directions in the development of the field.
