摘　　要：在概述图书馆角色定位的内涵和特征基础上,科学地从图书馆功能的开拓,馆藏资源的开发研究和图书馆员应具备的新素质几方面加以分析,使图书馆成功实现角色定位,以利于图书馆学术地位的确定和发展。On the basis of the summary of the connotation and charateristics of the library＇s role orientation, the author analyses in a scientific way such aspects as the development of the library＇s function,the study and the development of the library resouces and the new qualities that the librarians should posssess.To realize successfully the library＇s role orientation is helpful to the attainment and development of the library＇s accademic status.
