摘　　要：语言与文化密切相关。语言中的词汇反映出文化的内涵,颜色词也反映了其特定的文化内涵,即不同的文化背景对于颜色的理解和运用有不同之处。通过举例,对颜色词所反映的不同文化内涵及原因进行剖析,以把握对颜色词的翻译理解,帮助了解中英文化差异,促进两种文化的交流。Language is closely related to culture. Vocabulary of a language reflects its cultural connotation, and color words can also reflect the specific cultural connotation-there is difference in the understanding and application of the color in different cultural background. By giving examples, the essay analyzes the different cultural connotations reflected by color words and possible reasons in order to get better understanding of color words and the cultural difference between Chinese and English, thus to promote the exchange of the two cultures.
