摘  要:为了表彰正在音乐教育中担负重要工作却无人重视的音乐教师,笔者考察了马来西亚、印度尼西亚和柬埔寨的三例音乐教学个案,意在阐明笔者通过讨论交谈和观察所发现和了解的音乐教师应有的素质特征。这些以他们各自的工作地点进行的观察为基础勾画出的“工作肖像”,揭示了卓有成效的音乐教师所具备的基本素质及鲜明特点。在当今这个无确定性、支离破碎、缺乏个性的大众世界里,教师的个性和成就尤其值得记录、表彰甚至歌颂。把音乐教师置于研究中心,意味着倾听教师的声音。由此,音乐教师会成为音乐教育雄辩的代言人,也会因此成为音乐教学和儿童的知识的源泉。In an attempt to give recognition to unseen music teachers living and doing important work in music education, this study explores three single human identities-- music teachers from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Cambodia. The goal of this project was to illuminate a music teacher' s characteristics and qualities as identified and understood at the time of the interviews and observations. The project has resulted in " teaching portraits" based on each music teacher' s conversational thoughts and actual teaching as observed within the local setting. These "teaching portraits" offer identifying characteristics of important qualities of effective music teaching. Especially in such a faceless mass world of uncertainty and incoherence, it seems especially worthwhile to record, recognize, and even celebrate the depth and accomplishments of the individual. Placing music teachers in the center of research means listening to the teacher' s voice - - hearing it above all others. Given the opportunity, teachers are eloquent speakers on behalf of music education and a fountain of knowledge about music teaching and about children. Indeed, we have much to learn from each other; we have much to learn from the lives of others.
