摘  要:通过测定摄食后原尾蜥虎成体的耗氧量变化,研究摄食特殊热动力作用(SDA).蜥虎分为摄食黄粉虫幼虫实验组和禁食对照组,两组动物平均体重无显著差异.测定耗氧量前,将所有动物在30℃恒温室内禁食3天.用容积为300 ml的封闭式呼吸室测定两组蜥虎在30℃条件下连续3天的耗氧量,测定间隔时间为4~12 h.禁食组动物实验期间的耗氧量无显著的时间变异,实验组动物耗氧量的时间变异显著,这些结果表明摄食影响原尾蜥虎的代谢率.实验组动物摄食4 h后耗氧量已显著大于禁食组,摄食40 h后两组动物的耗氧量无显著差异.原尾蜥虎达到SDA峰值的平均时间约为20.0 h,SDA峰值耗氧量是禁食对照组动物耗氧量的1.5倍.原尾蜥虎单次摄食实验中的SDA具有进食后耗氧量迅速增加、达到峰值后下降至摄食前水平的典型模式.Adult Bowring's gecko (Hemidactylus bowringii ) was used as model animals to study specific dynamic action (SDA) of feeding. Geckos were captured in May 2004 from a population in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, southern China. In August, 22 geckos (no females would oviposit within 2 weeks) were selected and then assigned into two groups, one experimental and the other unfed control. Body mass of the geckos varied from 2.88 to 3.86 g, and the mean body mass did not differ between two groups. After fasting all geckos for 3 days at 30℃, experimental geckos were given with a single meal of mealworms (larvae of Tenebrio molitor). The ingested mealworrns varied from 0.14 to 0.24 (mean= 0.18) g. Geckos were housed individually in a 300 ml closed respiratory chamber, and measured for oxygen consumption at 0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 40, 52 and 64 h since feeding. Temporal variation in oxygen consumption was found in experimental geckos but not in control ones, suggesting that feeding exerts an effect on metabolic rate (and thus, SDA) in H. bowringii. Experimental geckos consumed significantly more oxygen than control ones did during the period between 4 and 40 h since feeding. Metabolic rate in H. bowringii increased by up to 1.5 times the prefeeding value as the oxygen consumption reached the peak. The mean time to reach a peak of SDA was 15.0 h for the experimental geckos. Our data show that the pattern of SDA of feeding in H. bowringii is similar to that reported for most animals, where oxygen consumption increasing rapidly after feeding to a peak, and then decreasing gradually to the prefeeding value. When comparing our data with the corresponding data reported for other species, we find that the time to reach a peak of SDA, the duration of SDA and the magnitude of the SDA peak differ considerably among species.
