摘　　要：分析公共知识与共同知识、客观知识及言传知识的差异;指出基于“公共”概念的公共知识,是社会大众公有共享的客观知识;认为图书馆是公共知识中心的特定发展阶段,公共知识中心从事公共知识管理并体现公共知识管理制度:提出“图书馆学”新思维,即公共管理框架下的公共知识管理。Public knowledge is the objective knowledge possessed and shared by social populace, which is different from common knowledge, objective knowledge or explicit knowledge. And the public knowledge center, coming through the special phase of library, undertakes the public knowledge management and carries the public knowledge management system. This paper indicates that a new thinking about library science is the public knowledge management in the framework of the public management.
