摘　　要：没有必要将林语堂与国学捆绑在一起;或者说,未必非要通过对国学原典的阐释才能显示林语堂的意义。林语堂的贡献在于:作为自由主义人文知识分子,他致力于对中西文化进行探索性建构,既与东方智慧相通,又合于世界发展的实践理性精神,使他在推测性还原回归与创意性阐释发展的二向性参照关系中推进了精神文化的建构。It is not unnecessary to tie up Lin Yutang and the national studies to demonstrate Lin Yu-tang＇s significance by throwing light on the original book of national studies. Lin Yutang＇s cultural contribution exists ： as a liberal humanity intellectual, he devotes to constructing China and the West culture relations. He masters national studies of China and intimated Eastern culture. It is useful to interlink Eastern and western cultures to construct spirit culture.
