摘　　要：本文分析了流行音乐的特点及认识问题,并在此基础上重点阐述了流行音乐在培养大学生综合素质方面的作用和功能,包括培养大学生追本溯源的科学精神,对大学生进行情感教育,培养大学生的创新精神以及对大学生进行人生教育等。This article is designed to analyze the characteristics and recognition of popular music. Special attention is paid to its roles and functions in fostering the overall qualities of college students. Of these qualities, boldness in scientific exploration and creativity, consciousness of handling negative emotions,enthusiasm for nutritional value of music, and personal initiative in meeting social life challenges are sorted out as priorities.
