摘　　要：希腊神话和史诗代表了古希腊文学的最高成就。这些作品充满了人类个性解放的需求,体现了古希腊文学的尊严,人的自我意识的觉醒和对命运的抗争,具有浓厚的人本意识,体现了对自由与民主的不懈追求。古希腊文学对欧美文学产生了巨大的影响,是欧美文学中人本主义精神的源头。Greek mythology and epics are the greatest achievements of Ancient Greek literature. And the literary works are filled with human＇s natural desire and individual dignity, the awaking of human＇s self - consciousness and the rebellion against the fate. Those works are embodied with deep humanism and the pursuit of liberty and democracy. As a result, the Ancient Greek literature had a profound effect on European and American literature. We can say that it is the source of humanism of European and American literature.
