摘　　要：江忆恩的战略文化理论属于单位层次的建构主义研究,作者认为其主要解决了3个问题一是确定战略文化的定义;二是通过分析某一国家战略传统形成时期的重要文献来验证某种战略文化的存在;三是验证战略文化与国家行为之间的关系。作者认为江忆恩的研究在理论设计上是具有开拓性启发意义的,但是经验验证存在严重不足,与其战略文化理论的概念前提产生了矛盾,甚至最终动摇了其理论自身的基本假定。Johnston’s strategic culture theory is a unit-level constructivist study. This author believes that Johnston’s research mainly focuses on three issues: first, to clearly define strategic culture; second, to test the existence of a strategic culture by analyzing the important literature during the formation of a state’s strategic traditions; third, to test the relations between strategic culture and state behavior. According to this author, Johnston’s study provides great enlightenment, with a pioneering spirit in its theoretical design. However, there is a serious deficiency in its empirical test. This contradicts his conceptual premise of a strategic culture theory, and eventually weakens his basic assumption.
