摘　　要：田纳西.威廉斯的《欲望号街车》以其精细巧妙的构思、委婉细腻的文笔、生动饱满的人物以及丰富深刻的思想受到评论界的高度赞誉。该剧女主人公布兰琪,作为南方女性的代表,向来引起关注和争议。文章运用女性主义文学批评的基本理论,力图从社会文化、女性心理、语言与其它艺术特色三方面来分析剧中精美而易碎的女性形象,并探求其背后的深刻内涵以及造成她悲惨命运的因素。A Streetcar Named Desire, written by Tennessee Williams, is highly praised and eulogized for its delicate construction, refined writing, vivid characters and provoking thoughts ,and its controversial heroine, Blanche, always occupies the center of attention and debate. In this paper, with the application of some of the feminist critical theories, the delicate and fragile southern female image is analyzed in terms of social culture, feminist psychology, and language and other artistic features to better understand the deep connotations and probe into the determinant factors for her tragedy.
