摘　　要：《地球不堪重负》一书给我们提出了一个严峻的问题：“中华文明在流沙面前退却”，需要我们认真对待。沙漠扩展其原因与过度放牧、滥垦、滥采、水资源利用不合理等有关，但更与政府工作及决策上的失误有关。我国牧区需要有计划地进行建设，出路在于调整牧区的农牧业生产方针和经济发展模式。当前急需解决牧区缺饲草问题，为建设牧区创造有利条件。The book-＂ The earth can＇t bear the heavy load ＂puts forward a severe question for us： Chinese civilization retreats in front of the quicksand＂, need m to treat conscientiously. No plan is enough to prevent the desert expands yet at present in our country. The main reason why the desert expands is grazed excessively, cultivated excessively, adopted excessively, and unreasonable water resources utilization, so the pastoral area of our country needs to carry on construction in a planned way, there should be a construction plan of science and implementing method, At present, the problem lacking of the forage grass in pastoral area is badly in need of solution to create the advantage for building the pastoral area.
