英语缩略语汉译的趋简与等效处理

摘　　要：提高交流效率、语言趋简是必然趋势。在文化交流领先于语言交流、目标语中尚没有对应的指代词汇时,如何创建规范而等效的缩略语译名成为当前科技翻译研究重点之一。本文从飞行翻译的特点出发,探讨了飞行英语中缩略语的构成特点及口译处理技巧。文章强调英语缩略语汉译应突出趋简原则和等效原则,提出根据缩略语音节长短、使用频率、受众熟悉程度等分别采用不同的翻译方法。With a tendency of language simplification, one of the present translation studies goals should be set at the examination on the translation of abbreviations/acronyms, especially when there are no proper equivalents for the terms in the target language. This article, proceeding from the characteristics of a flight interpreter＇ s job, approaches the different abbreviated forms used in aviation and the appropriate techniques in the oral interpretation. The article emphasizes the principle of simplicity and equivalence, and argues that, for the abbreviations frequently used in flight training/operation, different translation methods should be engaged in accordance with the abbreviations＇ syllabic length, their occurrence frequency and the listeners＇ familiarity level with them.
