东西方对负数认知的历史比较

摘　　要：负数是数系的重要组成部分。东西方对负数的应用和认知经历了漫长的阶段。本文通过东西方对负数的认知比较,分析了东西方哲学思想和思维方式的不同。从一个侧面来透视李约瑟问题,剖析15世纪以后中国数学及其他自然学科落后于西方的原因。Negative number is an important component of number system. It has taken a long time to cognize and apply negative number in east and west. This paper analyzes the difference of philosophy thought and mode of thought between east and west by comparing different cognitions of negative number to explore the problem of Joseph Needham and the reasons why mathematics and other natural sciences of China fall behind the west after the 15th century.
