摘　　要：《黛丝·米勒》是小说家亨利·詹姆斯的成名作，也是他“国际题材”小说的代表作。作品描写了美国和欧洲上流社会在文化和生活方式等方面的冲突，其中作品很多地方使用了象征主义手法。本文就象征主义手法在作品的情景描写、人物形象等方面的运用进行了深入的分析和探讨，发现象征主义的手法在作品中的运用可使观念和哲理形象化和感性化，使读者能更好地理解作品内在的现实意义和深刻的社会意义。The novelist Henry James won his international fame through the publication of Daisy Miller, which was also the representative work of his ＂international theme＇. The novel described many cultural and lifestyle conflicts between American society and European upper class. There are many symbolic uses in this work, so here we make a deep and specific analysis of the use of symbols in setting and character description etc. We find the use of symbolist writing can make the idea and concept visualized and concrete and help the readers to understand the internal social meaning and the profound realistic meaning better.
