摘　　要：太平天国一方面反儒,一方面又被儒学所困,既想全盘否定传统文化,却又恋恋不舍,从盲目排斥的极端走向盲目接受的极端,结果该继承的没继承,不该继承却保留下来。太平天国的失败,从根本上是文化上的失败。Taiping Heavenly Kingdom on the one hand, is anti - Confucian. On the other hand it has been beset by Confucianism. It stood in the midst of total negation of and reluctance to part with traditional culture. It went from total rejection to blind acceptance. Something that should be inherited tumed out to rejected and that should be withdrawn turned out to be retained. The falling of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom is fundamentally a failure of culture.
