摘  要:从理论上说中国人可以进行中译英,但事实表明对外译出并不成功。此外,什么人适合译出、译什么、以什么方式译出值得思考。因此,就目前情况看,中国应以译入为主,要成为真正意义上的翻译输出国尚需时日。Theoretically Chinese people can translate from Chinese into English, but facts have proved that those translations are not very successful. Some other related factors concerning who, what and how to translate from Chinese into English also await to be investigated. In this regard, China will continue to envisage translation from English into Chinese much more than the other way round, and will perhaps have a long way to go before becoming a translation-exporting country.
